Typical Singaporean Breakfast

A food nation, Singapore offers an array of dishes from all over the continents. This is one of the many breakfast meals. I didn’t realise it’s different until a lady commented “interesting”. They come in sets – coffee or tea, toasts (you choose the spread), and soft-boiled eggs. You can find these breakfast sets inĀ kopitiamĀ (hawker centre/foodcourt).

Typical Singaporean Breakfast

This is Set A from Kopitiam. Tea, butter and kaya (coconut paste) for me and of course, soft-boiled eggs. Can’t live without them. Shower some black soy sauce and pepper blessings on the eggs and they’re ready! The toasts taste good if you dip them in the tea too.

I love everything about it. Perhaps the eggs could be boiled a half a minute longer ;)
