Clueless about the existence of this place, we did not expect anything spectacular. We told Yellow (in case you did not read the previous post and have no clue, I forgot the name of the guy so I named him Yellow) we wanted a good place to have seafood.
See, the thing about me is that I have seafood allergy, not to everything and anything, but just to the ones which are not fresh. If a restaurant claims they have the freshest seafood, but I ended up with sores or itch or other symptoms like that, I say UP YOURS, BLOODY LIARS.
Yellow brought us to Menega Cafe. We were spoilt for choices. Right. I forgot to tell you. Contrary to popular belief, one who is allergic to seafood can also be the king of seafood! I love seafood so much that if seafood is a man, I’d marry him. Haha!

You name it, they got it.

We wanted stingray but there were none. Okay so they have ALMOST everything.
While waiting for our food, my friends and I did the norm – taking pictures. That’s me blowing a kiss to my newfound love: the scenery.

And I wasn’t selfish. I captured the two men who made it possible – the waiter and Yellow.

Serene. If this is Heaven, then I promise to be good.
Then came our food. This is how I go mildly crazy over the delicious food! I decided to behave and this is the furthest I went.

These prawns are so big, that’s why we don’t need any fish!

Giant clams! These are bloody huge, I have never eaten anything bigger despite a seafood lover!

Please know that despite my figure, I do eat healthy. Vegetables and fruits every single day without fail.

What’s an island trip without a fresh coconut drink??? Honestly, the ones in Thailand are better.

What we had.
Would I return? Yes, definitely. I love everything about the place, from the view to the service, to of course the food. I can safely say the seafood is fresh, no allergies, nothing!
I like how the food is grilled – crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The consistency will leave you craving for more. Also, different sauces (soy sauce, chilli, etc) were served automatically, unlike some places where you have to beg a few times, only to get a drop of sauce. Okay that’s exaggerating but you get my point.
I would have given 10/10 but they don’t have stingrays and the fresh coconut seems like it was fresh a decade ago. On top of that, the journey is a bit scary, it was dark after sundown. Duh, but hey, they could fix some lights along the road or something. You need locals to bring you here if you’re not Batman. So here’s my verdict:
The damage? Here goes.

Though it’s pricey, IDR312,000 is still cheap. No such amount if I dine back in Singapore!
IDR312,000 / SGD40 / USD32
