I remember very clearly, I was the only one who did the holiday homework assigned to us. Because none of my classmates did it, a silent pact was made. No one reminded the teacher of the homework except me. First, it’s a matter of integrity. Second, I don’t want to put my days of hard work to waste. Lastly, I needed to know her feedback and critique. Anyway, to “save” my friends from scolding or embarrassment, I went to the teacher after class was dismissed.
This is my first portrait painting. You can tell I’m a novice. I was 15.

“Lela’s van Gogh’s Portrait”
Poster Color on Paper, 420 x 297 mm
Van Gogh is one of my favourite artists! It’s sad that he couldn’t taste the success of his works or see the contributions he has made to the art world. Below is the original painting.
